  i can not fathom how much i heard this, and it always puzzled me the world near.

  you see, when i use the word near, i say things like "i live near california" and i live about thirty miles from california.

  i say my in-laws live near me, and they live about ten minutes away.

  Hi,

  Couldn't get thru the whole thing..tired, but I believe that the child, Jesus was just as much as son of Joseph as a son of Mary. Think of this. He is called 'a son of man'. If he had no human father, why would he be called a son of a man. And also, why would Joseph's whole linage be given to us? Mary may not have had a conception (virginally). But I do have faith that he had a preexistance in the heaven with God.

  Why doesn't the Holy Spirit know the day and hour of Jesus return?

  everytime you talk about the trinity to born-again christians and bring up the verse where it says of the day and hour only the father knows they will immediately say jesus was in his "human nature" that is why he does not know.

  but my question is why don't the holy spirit know the day and hour?

  is the holy spirit in human nature as well?

  The Holy Spirit isn't said not to know the day and hour..Here's the scripture

  Math. 24:36 NWT "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens now the Son, but only the Father."

  The Holy Spirit IMO is the spirit of God, so therefore would have known the day and hour.

  Is. 29: 13-16 NAV The Lord said: Since this people draws near with words only and honors me with their lips alone, though their hearts are far from me, and their reverence for me has become routine observance of the precepts of men, therefore I will again deal with this people in surprising and wondrous fashion: The wisdom of it's wise men shall perish and the understanding of its prudent men be hid. Woe to those who would hide their plans too deep for the Lord! Who work in the dark, saying, "Who sees us, or who knows us?"   Yep, and it says that God will deal with this people in surprising and wonderous fashion.. So, we can be sure, that the WT's badness is not unnoticed by God.. and that he will deal with them.. and all the other bad religions... and false shepards..

  To me, their wisdom is has already perished, but true enought, not to the 7 1/2 million..of them

  Omitting "the faithful and discreet slave" doctrine from their website

  i took a look at jw-media.org to see if i could find any mention of the "faithful and discreet slave" or any mention that jehovah had chosen the governing body as his sole channel on earth.. strangely enough, there is no information about the "faithful and discreet slave".

  i am wondering if their frequently asked questions page is none other than a "questions from readers" page, created by the writing committee.. if you examine the knowledge book and the what does the bible teach book, you will find that the doctrine of the "faithful and discreet slave" is either omitted or not introduced until near the end of the book, when a bible study is already hooked on the idea that jehovah's witnesses are the only true christians.. .

  let's examine some of the information given about who jehovah's witnesses are from their website:.

  I, so agree with you.... The WT..deliberately leaves out the obedience to the governing body, esp..in the new Teach book. I believe they leave it out until you are hooked..like you say.

  Also, they are complete liars, when they say, there is no laity/clergy system...in the WT...They have it, much worse than other churches..!

  Also, you are correct... the bible is ONLY to be interpreted by the GB... never by anyone else..

  And they are playing Jesus to the max....Jesus has no rights..without their permission...

  Hi Honey,

  I too, loved this

  But really it is just summed up well by saying that it is about hope in the form of light coming out of the darkness.

  I sent out a Jesus card about the light of the world.. and how in a tiny heart lies the hope of the world, (speaking of Jesus in the manger)... I sent you the one on peace.. I had a wonderful time tonight with my brother and his family.. and we went to the Methodist church service. They bought us presents.. and I got to know my boys some more.. (nephews).. When I was a witness, I was enstranged from my brother and fam for 25 years..from the fact that I was a witness and other things.. but I didn't fight for my brother because I was a witness, and didn't celebrate anything anyways..

  Merry Christmas.. and Love you...
